Privacy Policy

This policy explains how WorthIt processes information when you use the website, create an account, upload a screenshot, run a market check, create a Watch, purchase a Search Reveal, subscribe to WorthIt+, or contact support.

Information WorthIt processes

WorthIt may process account details such as your name, email address, authentication records and account preferences; screenshots and product information you submit; search queries, identified products, listing results and saved history; Watch and notification settings; support messages; technical and security logs; and billing identifiers, one-time purchase records or subscription status supplied by Stripe. WorthIt does not store your full payment-card number.

Screenshots and product analysis

Screenshots can contain incidental personal information. Production uploads are treated as private application data and are made available only through authorized application flows. WorthIt may send submitted images and relevant product context to configured AI or search providers when needed to identify the product and perform the requested market check.

How information is used

WorthIt uses information to provide product identification, current-market search, valuation and condition comparisons; operate saved items, Price Watches and Purchase Watch; authenticate accounts and recover passwords; process one-time Search Reveals and subscriptions; send requested service and security emails; prevent abuse and fraud; diagnose provider or background-job failures; improve product matching and reliability; and respond to support or privacy requests.

Service providers and third parties

WorthIt relies on service providers for hosting, databases, private object storage, authentication, AI processing, marketplace and shopping search, email delivery, payments, uptime monitoring and affiliate attribution. Current integrations may include Vercel, Neon, Cloudflare R2-compatible storage, OpenAI, Google, eBay, SerpApi, Brave Search, Stripe, Resend, Better Stack and configured affiliate networks. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy practices.

Affiliate and merchant clicks

When you choose a View Deal link, WorthIt may route the click through an eligible affiliate provider. That provider and the destination merchant may receive referral, click, device or transaction-attribution information needed to operate their services. Affiliate eligibility never determines WorthIt result ranking.

Cookies and sessions

WorthIt uses authentication/session cookies and similar essential browser storage to keep you signed in and protect account actions. Third-party merchants and services you visit from WorthIt may use their own cookies or tracking technologies under their own policies.

Retention

The default screenshot-retention window in production is approximately 30 days, subject to operational cleanup and configuration. User-facing search history, Watches and account data may remain while your account is active unless you delete them. Security, billing and operational records may be retained as reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, accounting, dispute handling or legal obligations. De-identified or product-level market observations may be retained longer because they support WorthIt’s price-history dataset.

Your controls

You can manage notification preferences, delete supported history, and permanently delete your WorthIt account from the Account page. Account deletion removes the account and associated WorthIt user data according to the application’s deletion process and cancels an active WorthIt subscription before the account is removed. You can also contact support for privacy questions or requests.

Security

WorthIt uses server-side authorization, private uploads, input validation, rate limiting, secure password hashing, one-time account-action tokens, signed payment and email webhooks, and server-only provider credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Children

WorthIt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13.

International processing

WorthIt and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where providers operate. Those locations may have data-protection rules different from your home jurisdiction.

Privacy rights

Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to request access, correction, deletion or other controls over personal information. WorthIt will handle valid requests as required by applicable law.
